Top 10 tips for minding your manners in any yoga class:
- Come to class on time.
- Time your departure. If you need to leave the room, don't go during a balancing
pose when your movements might distract others and make them wobble. If you
have to leave early, practice near the door.
- Walk around mats, don't step on other people's mats.
- Rinse off perfume or cologne that might irritate other students.
- Keep your belongings like water bottles, props, and towels, out of other
students' space.
- Clean up your sweat, or at least put down a towel so it doesn't get on your
neighbour's mat.
- Keep negativity to yourself. Don't sigh loudly or complain about the music.
- Stay away when you're sick; nobody wants your germs.
- Stack studio props and mats neatly after class.
- Turn off your mobile phones!
