diamond, dun worry . i think they r not hating u, they r simply being specific since everyone knows ty members drama antics n dun like how some fact become twisted. but to b honest, i think they prob got e impression u r proud because u say they have sour grapes. usually ppl who r proud of something they have that others dun will say such things, so can't really blame them even if u r not right?

I can't believe u people are making it sound like I'm talking to a superstar .I feel he is just a normal friend! Does it matter this much who it is? I better don't say, otherwise will kill the hearts of his ardent fans. Is it very wrong to just say that we chat on the phone? Whats the big deal? Just becoz he is a TY instructor, does it make him a super star, a saint? Oh btw he has a super ardent fan, I don't know if she reads this forum. But if u know who u are, I just wanna say : stop throwing yourself at him and stop looking at me like i've snatched your bf from u ok..he's not even ur friend to begin with - he is just your f u c k ing yoga instructor. Go back home to your mama if you can't stand us talking together.

diamond, foul language is really not necessary. U are what u say, so use your words with caution.
You should have seen it coming "announcing" to the whole world that u are "pal" with a ty instructor, however true that is. I'm not interested to know, but only pointing it out cos your last posting really bring down your credibility...

diamond : as onlooker has correctly pointed out, you yourself sound very possessive about your so-called friendship with this instructor. and you also seem so "full of yourself". think people want to stare at you just because you are friends with this instructor. You are so lame.

precisely, the point that some of the other "anonymous" pointed out earlier on.
diamond, it isn't that ppl r making a big deal out of ur friendship with this master, but ppl r simply suspicious why such a "humble" person like u would openly declare ur priviledged friendship status with said master, if u r really humble to begin with.
since u r such close friends with him like u proclaim, u should know very well what his desirability status is among certain few ladies there, even as a friend, u have no place to tell another to piss off and that she is not a friend, cos it makes u seem like a jealous fan in a different light.
A real humble person will take quiet pride that she is friends with him and she has no reason watsoever to voice it out, as the friendship is solid enough to testify on its own. U dont deserve backlash from ppl, but u certainly did ask for it and had it coming u know?

the local instructors are all freelancers, and have a choice of whether they want to teach hot yoga. only members enjoy hot yoga, teachers dont. that's why none of the locals will teach hot, except issey (but only for limited period also).

I remember there is a cover instructor with the name of Venky. Anybody has attended his class? I missed it the other time =(

Dr Venky teaches at True Fitness. If your TY card gives you access to TF, then you can go over to try his classes. His clsses are ok, but I prefer Anil.

Yes, I agree with Anonymous. You definitely had it coming, by "advertising" your friendship on forum here. It could be an innocent friendship, but TY ladies are lunatics (most of them), so, if the so-called master is really "desired", then you are in for it then. Actually, it's quite easy to guess who the master is, as RP does not have many masters, and of "desirable" status, either, if you know what I mean.

I wonder if Raaj can actually change his Hot Yoga sequence, my god!!
Its damn boring!! Every Hot Yoga same poses, same sequence everything same. Nothing new! I know that I may opt not to go for his classes, but sometimes its just that u wanted to go for hot classes at that timing and thats the only class u can go. I mean i know my membership is nothing great or more expensive than others, but i am a consumer.
I paid for my membership I think I have the right to feedback.

I have attended Anil's class in True Fitness. Dont really like his style, feel that some of the postures that his teaches are not yoga postures (no offense). One good example is Starfish Pose. Heard that this pose is actually a pose thought in Body Balance Pose.I personally prefer Venky's to Anil's class.

there's always have new members coming in, to them , the hot yoga sequence is new. if u need some changes, go elsewhere.
then again, on the other hand, i think he is not innovative enough. anyway he already heck care TY students, to him, they're a bunch of untrustable ladies. if u're 'lucky' enough, he may talk to u and seem to 'confide' to u, but at the end, u would realise u're not the only 1 whom he 'confides' to.
i like anil's ability to inject jokes to lighten up the lesson. although i'm not sure how yoga is his yoga, but so far, i enjoyed it.

all thanks to the yoga "masters" at TY who has not been teaching yoga in the most sincere and authentic way, now i am looking elsewhere to really learn the real meaning of yoga. i can't believe how much time i've wasted at TY for learning nothing, except building some nice muscles on my arms !
Ty girls shld learn to stop acting so desperado. for god's sake, u're wearing those tops that is dropping ur breast to the floor already. disgusting pigs.

i hope i am not considered one of those 'disgusting pigs' cos i dress modestly and appropriately, but sometimes when im wearing a top that securely covers my chest, those chaturanga poses tend to stretch the fabric so it looks as if might expose but actually my top dont look loose cut or indecent when i am standing upright. I feel so uncomfortable that i keep readjusting tugging n pulling its frustrating.

Dear Anonymous posed 7 Mar 2009 -00:37 you mentioned "i have seen stopped going commercial places like TY, it is just not real yoga....its so fake."
Why you said such remarks? Dont you know and realised that TY is the first yoga centre that bring in all Yoga Masters from India- the original place where yoga were from. All these are MASTERS whom they really took up yoga from very young age, you know?

to 'anonymous 13:19' ---- My question to you is " so what?"
Coming from india/nepal , made in india/nepal, SO WHAT?
Come here, doesn't teach the way it is suppose to be, cannot feel the authenticity and passion.
Its like buying a sweater from antartic but don't even get to wear it in singapore to feel its effectiveness.

Every yoga studio that collects money from you for a lesson is a commercial yoga centre. If a large class with 30 students is not your cup of tea, try attending class during the day when the class size is about 10 and you get more attention from the masters. What have the masters done wrong to fill you with so much hatred? TY has a lot of masters who are good and helpful. If you don't like the native masters' classes, attend local instructors' ie. Issey, Jo, Yvette. Ashley etc

i guess u people are right, i'm filled with hatred and i can't forgive a man who has done something to me to make me dislike this place so much. i have been led into the wrong path. i need to relook at the situation again. i need to forgive those who've hurt me. thanks for bringing light into my life.

Lisa,
Not many has the luxury to attend classes during the day and many of the local teachers are very popular with class size over 30 during the day. The evening slots are mostly conducted by the full time native teachers. That's the trade off you pay for going to a big yoga centre with poor management like TY.
Being indian or practising yoga from young doesnt make them better yoga teacher. The lack of passion and the ability to communicate well with the students has nothing to do with whether the are native or local teachers.

btw, does class size matter for the income of the instructors?... i.e. they get a bigger cut if the class attendance is better.

think it doesnt matter. their extra income comes from the number of personal training sessions they have
