kenny's class yes it is a wonder and a different way of hatha 2, but all in all it seems that pure's quality is dropping day by day. this would be my last year of membership and i wouldn't want to extend it anymore. i saw some people asking for transfr the membership, but it is not possible unless u hve a strong reason for it
sharing some exprience with some recent teachers. some of the new teachers r really funny and so fake that it seems they know nothing about yoga. check out for a funny bold headed guy. he answered a question of mine with so funny and stupid reply. huh! doesn't seems appropriate to tell more about him?

i've been with pure for about 2 years. before that I was with true. And before that I was with a freelancer. I'd say like every secondary school or junior college, there will be good teachers and there will be not so good teachers. my favourite teachers are catherine, nadia, kenny, ross and felicia. I agree that some of the newer teachers (like baldy) ain't as solid as the older ones, which is why i tend to go to the classes of the older teachers haha. But some of the new teachers like vikram, prakash are good. In terms of the counter staff, i've never really had problems with them. I "make friends" with them and chat them up from the beginning, so they're always nice to me. it's something my parents taught me from young so i do the same i guess (I'm Asian.)

Hi I have been going to Pure for more than a month now. I find it very useful. I have attended the classes of few instructors there and I find Prakash is THE BEST. He is such a wonderful teacher, his instructions about a pose are so clear and simple. Ans yes, his classes are crowded (becasue he is popular) but he still tries to provide personal attention as much as he can. You can feel the sincerity and passion in his teaching approach. And he is fun too.

Vikram used to be from True Yoga. Don't know why he go to Pure now, maybe the management at True wasn't good. But he's also a very popular teacher at True last time, his classes always fully booked.

yes, totally agree with Carl. PURE's standards are really dropping since the time I joined. I have been with them for a year and noticed their number of classes are getting fewer and fewer and there are no other facilities except for the yoga classes, so I rarely go there now and feel its really a waste of money.
Their facilities are also getting more and more run down each day. Taps in the toilet are already spoilt for almost half a year and still not repaired. waited a few months for them to replace the curtains for the changing rooms, sofa cushions in the lobby are also torn. towels are old and smelly.
my fave teachers have also left and the many new teachers they recruited recently are really inexperienced in terms of teaching and doing Yoga. i was really surprised that one of the new teachers can't even demonstrate well a slightly challenging pose.
.. so dissapointing and I still have another 1 year to go. will definitely not consider renewing when my membership ends..

To Dissapointed,
Further from your quote below, I do not agree with what's written below about Pure's towel old and smelly, facilities run down etc. I feel you are trying to tarnish Pure's reputation or perhaps you are from Pure's competitior giving such a bad feedback in this forum. I am a member of several yoga centres and I know what I am talking about. So far, Pure is the BEST !!

pinkK's comments:
I agree 100% with CARL and DISSAPOINTED. I thought it's funy that we noticed the exact same things so thought I'd share my comments as well. Oh, there was also a broken toilet that went un-fixed for weeks. And also Chinese descriptive tags for the shampoo/conditioner, etc in some of the shower stalls. Hmmmm, think of our non-Mandarin reading friends much?
I have been with them for 1 year 8 months. And i will NOT renew my membership when it expires. They were really good initially but now, it is just not worth paying so much for them when I can't even attend the classes I want!
Last time I used to be able to book online for the evening classes on the day itself with no problem. But for the past few weeks, everytime I book, it says that the web signups are full. So have to call them. And when I call, the classes are already full. And this is 2 days in advance!!!
And since the new year started, they keep on changing the teachers and the timetable so it's difficult for you to settle down to a regular time slot with your regular teacher on a weekly basis.
I think they might have changed management or something??? There's all these lousy changes going on and obviously the management should be held accountable.
Anyway, sad truth is the lousy management has caused Pure Yoga to deteriorate. They used to be so good! Teachers are still good though!! Counter staff...even if they're not 100% on top of their game, management should always train them. It all boils down to the management...

I agree,, have been with them for 3 yrs already. But in perspective, at least they do try to do something about it, and they are not as hardsell and generally treat their members well. The only frustrating thing is classes are so full and showers have to queue all the time....

I agree with yogafan because i also have been in prakash classes and his teaching style is so simple and his simple way of teaching yoga really impresses many of his fans.
With this I have recently come to know that he has plenty of personal yoga students and i came to know about it when one of my friend told me it. I know some of his private students. Wow ! Their postures are wonderful, simple though, but in excellent form.
He is a very understanding person and his classes are very much fun to do. I really love him as my teacher and would really follow him.

Hi there, if anyone here is unhappy with their Pure Yoga packages and are open to transferring theirs to me, do contact me at kristie.chew at gmail dot com.
I'm looking at the Raffles Place branch, but will be very happy to have a membership that gives me access to both RP and Ngee Ann City.
Thanks!

not negotiable. I think it is 179 per month for one club (chevron hse), unlimited access. The longer you sign the cheaper the per-month rate.

By the way, their membership is totally non-transferable and they'll ignore you at all costs. even if you have a willing party, willing to work out creative options etc. They'll just ignore you. They tell me, you can choose to let your contract run out! And that is 9 months away from expiry. I have been chasing them for 5 months already but to no avail. I am so so so disappointed. Don't sign long term packages with them unless you are terribly sure you will stay on.

My dear Storm123 if PURE Yoga has policy of non-transferable then it is their policy people must obey if they want to sign up with them. You should have read carefully of the T&C. Each centers have their own rules and policy.

Dear interested, pls read above postings for membership rates.
It is not true that Pure does not entertain transfers. I bought over my friend's membership when she relocated elsewhere late last year. Well, unless policies have changed.
