Yes it is clearly said in medical that meditation is very helpfull in pain management.
Meditation is a mind body which help to incerease physical relationship, relieve depression, reduce illness & overall health & wellbeing.

For doing maditaion you have a comfortable position(sitting, living down, walking),
you focus your attention(on a word or a set of words), you have open attitude(let throught come & go without juding them).
